Marketing Director & Sponsorship Sales & Event Producer: Discovery Sessions 2024

Discovery Sessions is an annual psychedelic conference in San Francisco bringing together clinicians, researchers, advocates, and cultural leaders. As a core member of the production team for the 400+ person third annual event, I wore several hats:
Marketing & Email: Managed social media and email marketing to an audience of ~4,000, building anticipation and driving ticket sales leading up to and through the event.
Sponsorship Sales: Sourced and closed sponsorships with limited lead time, bringing in MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) as a paid sponsor, along with several brand partnerships ranging from $500 table placements to $3–$4k partnership packages.
Event Production: Coordinated pop-up promotional events in the lead-up to the conference, plus on-site production including logistics, lounge production, programming support, and vendor management across a full-day event.
Press: The event earned coverage in The Independent and Lucid News (Tech bros love talking about microdosing – but the legality of psychedelics is a messy grey area (The Independent), Psychedelic Underground Celebrated in San Francisco on Bicycle Day Weekend (Lucid News))
